Non Explosive Concrete Demolition

Break Concrete Without Blasting or Heavy Vibration

Breaking concrete doesn’t always need a breaker attachment or a jackhammer.

BETONAMIT® is a non explosive concrete demolition agent designed to fracture concrete in a controlled, vibration-free way. It’s used by builders, groundworkers, demolition contractors, civil engineering contractors and capable DIY users who need to remove concrete safely and without the disruption of traditional methods.

No explosives. No shock waves. No specialist demolition licence required.

1. Drill

Start by drilling holes into the material you wish to break. Use a drill with a diameter of 30-40mm, ensuring the spacing & depth of the holes match the project’s requirements.

2. Mix

Combine BETONAMIT® with water and use an electric mixer to ensure a smooth, lump-free mixture, typically taking 2-3 minutes.

3. Fill

Pour the mixed BETONAMIT® into clean, dry drill holes immediately after preparation. Ensure the holes are filled completely for optimal performance.

4. Wait

Leave BETONAMIT® for 24 hours or more and watch the product do its magic as it generates expansive pressure, safely and effectively breaking the material.

Concrete Removal Without Jackhammers

Mechanical breaking creates impact and vibration. That can lead to:

  • Cracking in adjacent slabs or walls
  • Disturbance to neighbouring properties
  • Excessive noise
  • Operator fatigue
  • Limited working hours on restricted sites

BETONAMIT® works differently. Once poured into drilled holes, it expands gradually and fractures the concrete from the inside. There’s no repeated hammering and no high-impact force travelling through the structure.

Types of Concrete It Can Break

BETONAMIT® is suitable for:

  • Concrete slabs
  • Strip and pad foundations
  • Reinforced concrete
  • Ground beams
  • Concrete bases and plinths
  • Oversized concrete blocks
  • Swimming pools

How It Works on Site

Concrete is strong under compression but weaker when internal pressure forces it apart. BETONAMIT® uses this to your advantage.

  1. Drill boreholes to the correct diameter and spacing.
  2. Mix the powder with clean water.
  3. Fill the holes.
  4. Allow the expansion to do the work.

There’s no need to stand over the job with a breaker for hours. Once filled, the product expands and cracks the concrete steadily. You decide where it fractures by how you drill.

Working with Different Hole Orientations

For standard holes drilled into slabs or foundations, BETONAMIT® is mixed to a pourable consistency and flows easily into the borehole.

If you’re drilling:

  • Horizontal holes

The mix can be thickened using the approved powder additive. This turns it into a putty-like expansive mortar that reduces slump and holds in place in horizontal holes.

It’s still the same product. Still the same controlled expansion process. You’re simply adjusting the consistency to suit the direction of the boreholes.

What Problems Does It Solve When Breaking Concrete?

Using non explosive concrete demolition helps avoid:

  • Vibration damage to nearby structures
  • Excessive dust and noise from continuous hammering
  • Labour-heavy mechanical breaking
  • Blasting licences and associated planning

Why Contractors Choose BETONAMIT® for Concrete

Controlled Results

You determine the drilling pattern, which determines the break. That’s useful when you need selective removal rather than full-scale destruction.

Reduced Site Disruption

No detonation, no blast shock and no sustained breaker noise.

Suitable for Reinforced Concrete

Expansion pressure works through the concrete mass. Once cracked, reinforcement can be cut and sections removed safely.

Simple to Use

The method remains practical and straightforward:

Drill → Mix → Fill → Wait

No specialist demolition certification required. Just correct drilling and proper mixing.
