Non Explosive Demolition Agent
BETONAMIT® – Controlled Concrete and Rock Breaking Without Blasting
BETONAMIT® is a non explosive demolition agent designed to break concrete, rock and stone safely and without vibration.
It gives builders, demolition contractors, groundworkers, landscapers and capable DIY users a controlled alternative to blasting and heavy breakers.
No explosives. No detonation. No specialist demolition licence required.

Just a simple, controlled process:

1. Drill
Start by drilling holes into the material you wish to break. Use a drill with a diameter of 30-40mm, ensuring the spacing & depth of the holes match the project’s requirements.

2. Mix
Combine BETONAMIT® with water and use an electric mixer to ensure a smooth, lump-free mixture, typically taking 2-3 minutes.

3. Fill
Pour the mixed BETONAMIT® into clean, dry drill holes immediately after preparation. Ensure the holes are filled completely for optimal performance.

4. Wait
Leave BETONAMIT® for 24 hours or more and watch the product do its magic as it generates expansive pressure, safely and effectively breaking the material.
What is a non Explosive Demolition Agent?
A non explosive demolition agent is an expanding material that fractures hard substrates from the inside.
You drill boreholes into the concrete or rock, mix the powder with water and pour it into the holes. As it expands, it generates steady internal pressure that causes the material to crack along the drilled line.
There’s no shock wave.
No flying debris from impact tools.
No vibration travelling into surrounding structures.
Typical Uses
Key Benefits
Concrete
BETONAMIT® provides a controlled way to fracture:
- Concrete slabs
- Foundations
- Reinforced concrete
- Mass concrete
- Concrete beams and bases
You drill the pattern, fill the holes and allow the expansion to split the structure. It’s particularly useful where vibration could cause damage or complaints.
Rock Breaking
It’s Ideal for:
- Landscaping projects
- Trench excavation
- Rural access works
- Tight sites where machinery is limited
The rock fractures along your drill line, giving you control over the size and direction of the break.
Low Noise
BETONAMIT® works quietly once poured. There’s no continuous mechanical impact and no blast event. That makes it suitable for:
- Built-up areas
- Internal demolition
- Schools, hospitals and commercial premises
- Residential developments
You drill and fill during working hours then let it do the work.

Demolition Without Blasting License
That removes paperwork, delays and additional contractor costs, while still allowing you to break large volumes of material in a controlled way.
Traditional blasting involves:
- Specialist contractors
- Explosive handling permits
- Strict safety zones
- Detailed planning and approvals
Expansive Mortar
However, when drilling:
- Horizontal Holes
You will need a thicker mix.
With the approved powder additive, BETONAMIT® can be adjusted into a putty-like expansive mortar. This reduces slump and helps the material stay in place in non-vertical boreholes.
Expansive Grout
This makes it ideal for:
- Large concrete slabs
- Deep foundation removal
- Mass rock breaking
The grout fills the drilled cavity fully, ensuring consistent internal pressure as it expands. No impact tools are required once it’s poured.
What Problems Does a Non Explosive Demolition Agent Solve on Site?
Traditional breaking methods create avoidable issues:
- Vibration damaging nearby structures
- Excessive noise
- Restricted working hours
- Limited access for heavy plant
- Blasting licences and permit requirements
- Safety risks from flying debris
BETONAMIT® removes those barriers.
It allows controlled demolition where:
- Jackhammers or robotic breakers are too aggressive
- Structures are close together
- Access is tight
- Noise must be kept down
- Explosives are not permitted

Why Choose BETONAMIT®?
Controlled Breaking
The material fractures along your drill pattern. You decide where it splits, which is ideal for selective removal.
No Vibration
There are no shock waves travelling into surrounding slabs, walls or services. That reduces the risk of collateral damage.
No Blasting Licence Required
It is not an explosive product. You avoid the paperwork, specialist handling and exclusion zones associated with blasting.
Suitable for Restricted Access
All you need is a drill and basic mixing equipment. There’s no requirement for heavy breakers or large machinery.
Simple to Use
The process is straightforward:
Drill the holes → Mix with water → Fill the holes → Allow time to expand
No specialist demolition training required. Just proper drilling and correct mixing.
