Low Noise Demolition Solution

Break Concrete and Rock Without Excessive Noise

Demolition doesn’t need to be loud.

BETONAMIT® is a low noise demolition solution designed to break concrete and rock without the constant hammering of mechanical breakers or the disruption of blasting. It’s used by builders, demolition contractors, groundworkers, civil engineering firms, landscapers and capable DIY users who need a quieter way to get the job done.

No explosives. No repeated impact noise. No specialist demolition licence required.

Just a straightforward process: Drill → Mix → Fill → Wait

1. Drill

Start by drilling holes into the material you wish to break. Use a drill with a diameter of 30-40mm, ensuring the spacing & depth of the holes match the project’s requirements.

2. Mix

Combine BETONAMIT® with water and use an electric mixer to ensure a smooth, lump-free mixture, typically taking 2-3 minutes.

3. Fill

Pour the mixed BETONAMIT® into clean, dry drill holes immediately after preparation. Ensure the holes are filled completely for optimal performance.

4. Wait

Leave BETONAMIT® for 24 hours or more and watch the product do its magic as it generates expansive pressure, safely and effectively breaking the material.

Demolition Without Constant Hammering

Traditional breaking methods are noisy by nature.

Hydraulic breakers, jackhammers and percussive tools create:

  • Continuous high noise levels
  • Complaints from neighbours
  • Restricted working hours
  • Communication difficulties on site
  • Operator fatigue

BETONAMIT® works differently. Once poured into drilled holes, it expands internally and fractures the material from within. There’s no ongoing mechanical impact and no blast event.

After drilling and filling, the process is quiet.

Where a Low Noise Demolition Solution Is Needed

Low noise demolition is particularly important in:

  • Residential areas
  • City centre sites
  • Schools and universities
  • Hospitals and care facilities
  • Commercial buildings in use
  • Internal strip-out projects

Types of Material It Can Break Quietly

BETONAMIT® is suitable for:

  • Concrete slabs
  • Foundations
  • Reinforced concrete
  • Mass concrete
  • Concrete bases and plinths
  • Natural rock and boulders

Instead of attacking the surface with impact tools, the expansion pressure builds inside the drilled holes and creates controlled cracking along the drill line.

How It Works on Site

Concrete and rock are strong under compression but weaker when internal pressure forces them apart. BETONAMIT® uses this principle to create fractures without high noise levels.

  1. Drill boreholes to the correct diameter and spacing.
  2. Mix the powder with clean water.
  3. Fill the holes.
  4. Allow the expansion to do the work.

There’s no need to stand over the area with a breaker for hours. Once filled, the product expands steadily and cracks the material in a controlled way.

You decide where it splits by how you drill.

Working with Different Hole Orientations

For standard vertical or angled downward holes drilled into slabs or foundations, BETONAMIT® is mixed to a pourable consistency and flows easily into the borehole.

If you’re drilling:

  • Horizontal holes

The mix can be thickened using the approved powder additive. This turns it into a putty-like expansive mortar that reduces slump and helps it stay in place in non-vertical holes.

It’s still the same product. Still the same controlled expansion process. You’re simply adjusting the consistency to suit the direction of the boreholes.

What Problems Does a Low Noise Demolition Solution Solve?

Using BETONAMIT® instead of mechanical breakers helps avoid:

  • Noise complaints from neighbours
  • Restrictions on working hours
  • Disruption inside occupied buildings
  • Excessive vibration linked to impact tools
  • The need for blasting licences or explosive permits

Why Contractors Choose BETONAMIT® for Low Noise Demolition

Quiet Once Poured

After drilling and filling, there’s no continuous hammering. The expansion process happens without impact noise.

Controlled Breaking

You determine the drilling pattern, which determines where the material fractures. That’s useful for selective removal in live environments.

No Blasting Licence Required

BETONAMIT® is not an explosive product. There’s no requirement for blasting permits or specialist explosive handling.

Suitable for Internal and Urban Work

Only drilling equipment and basic mixing tools are required. No heavy breaker attachments running all day.

Simple to Use

The method remains practical and straightforward: Drill → Mix → Fill → Wait

No specialist demolition certification required. Just correct drilling and proper mixing.
